Below are the best animated films you can make with your children, regardless of age or gender.

Dream works – Kung Fu Panda – PG
The scenery and humour appeal to parents, while the action appeals to children. You can’t help but fall in love with the beautiful butt-go, dim sum dates and the fight against kung fu.

Warner Studios – The Lego Movie – U –
The Lego Movie (Warner Bros.) As a mother, you identify with a businessman’s fascination with super glue and the heart-warming journey you have to take to overcome it.

When it comes to animated films, math in computer animation, we all have high hopes for lovable, quirky robots, but this film comes alive with character, charm and a dash of the unusual. Oh, and the animation is great, and the songs too.

Hiccup, the son of the chief, does not fit well on the island of Berk, which is populated by bloodthirsty Vikings. On the other hand, he becomes an unlikely Viking hero by enlisting the help of a feared dragon.

It is a daring adventure that raises the bar for the world of animated film. As an adult it is inspiring, fascinating and peppered with ironic humour. The score and music numbers of The Lion King elevate him from cartoon to something astonishing. It’s about toys that children know and love, but the profound themes grow and pull at parents “hearts.

Dream- works – Shrek – U
The film has so many layers of humor that young and old cling to their side. It’s a fascinating history lesson. If you haven’t done it yet, make it a family priority to see it. The whole family will sing along and decide which book to go on safari with. This is the eighth film in the DreamWorks-produced Shrek series.

Disney – Brave – PG
DreamWorks takes a fresh and dark turn in Disney’s sugar-coated fairy tale. Viewing the world of monsters and cabinets from a different perspective ensures that the bad guys are banished from nightmares and your child is lured into a happy monster dream.

Disney Pixar – Monsters Inc – U
On the other hand, the antics of Shrek the Donkey will delight younger viewers while his popular songs will tickle the adult imagination. Children will love Shrek, but parents and grandparents will remember their own children as toddlers in the days of animated favourites like Boo.

We can assure you that it is suitable for people of all ages. It’s very likely this is the Disney princess movie.

Disney Pixar – Inside Out – U
Disney and Pixar have not come up with anything that trumps clever animation, complexity and emotion. Mordu protects little children’s eyes and appears energetic at first glance, and the music of Scottish Storeys becomes a catchy tune that you will love. This is not a traditional princess tale, but Storey’s feminism, love of family, pride and legend.

Universal – Despicable Me – U
The film is entertaining and heart-warming, and it helps to give voice to feelings that grow in an entertaining and inspiring way. The book will appeal to mothers, fathers and children.

Nothing beats Minions when it comes to pure comedy value. If you can pair a floor with three brilliant girls who have been adopted into the global rogue world, then this is for you. This is sure to be a family favourite. There is really nothing that cannot be added to our list.

Disney – Frozen – PG
After freezing to death in her closed kingdom of Arendelle, she flees to the mountains. She isolates herself from the rest of the planet, but outgoing Anna longs to meet new people and expand the kingdom. Anna tracks her down with the help of a crazy snowman named Olaf, a mountaineer named Kristoff and an adorable reindeer.
You can also think of the songs that have stuck in your mind, like “I Will Be Home Alone” and “Into the Woods.”.

Thanks to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s brilliant success, Moana takes the children on an exciting adventure that teaches them important lessons about self-reliance and conserving their own identity. Moana is a teenager who is curious what lies beyond her home island and concerned about the survival of her people. During a courageous journey, she meets the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), a greedy crab and a host of other animals.

Disney – Zootopia – PG
Judy Hopps is the first rabbit to serve as a cop in Zootopia, a city full of animals of all sorts. When a new case arrives on her desk, she enlists the help of the cunning fox Nick Wilde, and things get complicated, but sometimes very funny. Characters like Sloth, who works on her desk in the Department of Motor Vehicles, and the notorious crime boss Shrew will make you and your children laugh.
